# Elaine King, Expert in Family Businesses Shares Knowledge as Keynote Speaker for Prestigious Organizations

As a bilingual Latin financial planner with expertise in multigenerational family businesses, Elaine King is popular as a keynote speaker for family business workshops. Recently, the Spanish-speaking founder of the Family and Money Matters Institute (™) was a keynote speaker at an FBN-sponsored conference held in Cartagena, Colombia. FBN ([Family Business Network International](https://www.fbn-i.org/)) is the world’s leading organization for business families and spans over 65 countries with over 17,000 individual members. The session led by King was titled “[The Emotional Side of Money](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cbniv5SgU10/?hl=en),” and covered how our emotions influence the decisions we make about money. Over 200 families attended the workshop, which was especially important because many of our emotional responses and ideas about money are formed within the family itself.
After leading a series of workshops with family businesses, Elaine King was featured in the magazine [*Integración*](https://issuu.com/integracion/docs/rev_integracion_edic.61_-_dic_2021). The magazine is run by the [Peruvian Chinese Association](http://www.apch.com.pe/consejo-directivo.html). The feature article covers the Latin financial planner’s life, including her Peruvian and Chinese roots, as well as her strong ties to the United States.
